Educators dedicate time to collaborate with both colleagues and students to improve practice, discover and share resources and ideas, and solve problems.
Websites and Instructional Tools
Symbaloo is an effective tool for cataloging websites and online resources. Symbaloo has many different applications in education. Symbaloo Webmixes can be used individually by educators or students to keep track of helpful sites and resources. Symbaloo Webmixes are also well suited for collaboration in that they can be shared between educators and students, or perhaps utilized by students in a group project to share information, resources, and ideas.
I created a Symbaloo Webmix to catalog useful websites and resources to share with my worship and tech team members.
Creative and Worship Arts Collaborations
One of my favorite things about my job as a worship leader is that I am able to collaborate with, and work along side some amazingly talented people who have a heart to use their gifts and talents to serve the church and glorify God. We routinely collaborate to write songs, work on arrangements of songs that we use in our worship services, and use video, graphic design, and other media to create content for our worship services.
I have shared a couple of my favorite projects below. The first video is a Christmas special service we put together in 2020. The creative and worship ministry leaders from all three of our campuses collaborated to create this special service that we shared via livestream, and on our social media platforms on Christmas Eve.
The second video is a portion of Friendship Worship's worship set at Soulstock in 2018. Soulstock was a multi-day worship service and festival hosted at Point Mallard park in Decatur, AL. The event featured local churches and worship ministries, as well as nationally known speakers, ministers, and worship artists. We were blessed to be invited to lead a worship set on the opening night of the event.
